Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My wife and I came to eat here during our stay in Rome on October 7th. First of all, make a reservation. You’ll get seated very quickly, but the staff is friendly enough to let you know if there’s a table available if you get there early. Second, the staff is amazing. Third, the food is amazing. And fourth, the atmosphere is what really sells it! On top of great food(we had the carbonara, cacio e Pepe, focaccia, and zucchini flowers) and amazing staff-it was like we were part of one big family having dinner together! People were laughing and having conversations here and there, the staff were talking to people and one of them even joked around with me as they did with others. It was such a comforting environment that we were sad to leave. We will definitely be coming here again when we go back to Rome. It really made our trip a memorable one."
"This restaurant was recommended to us and I’m glad we tried it. Upon arrival we were quickly greeted by two serves. One of them was very cordial to give us great recommendations. We had for appetizer the fired artichoke (so good!). For the first course we had cacio de pepe. For the second course we had sliced beef with baked potatoes amazing! At the end we were gifted with a shot of amaretto. Highly recommended!"
"4.5 stars - great food and staff were extremely friendly. Was also our first time trying classic Roman appetizers which were tasty. I loved my spaghetti, while my husband enjoyed the lamb, but noted that some areas were a bit tough. Definitely seemed like a place enjoyed by locals as well. Overall highly recommend!"
"A lovely place perfect for a large group or a family dinner. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's like being among good friends. Despite the large crowd, everything was served very quickly, and the food was delicious, filling, and there was a huge selection. We were delighted!"
"This seems to be a well-known restaurant in Rome, and it can get very busy, so you may have to wait. The meatballs really didn’t suit my taste, but all the other dishes were delicious. The tableware felt a bit dirty, and because of the crowds, carts piled high with uncollected plates made the already narrow space feel even more cramped. After the meal, the staff recommended dessert, and the tiramisu was absolutely excellent."
"Forget the Vatican; god’s in the kitchen, and he’s cooking up a divine storm. We rolled in on a Saturday night, and the manager, probably channeling some higher power, managed to squeeze us in. The catch was we had to stick to a starter and pasta only. Another blessing. The place was buzzing like a beehive on espresso, but that only added to the enchantment. Despite the whirlwind of activity, our table was cleared faster than you can say “amen,” and our glasses were magically refilled. The staff was a riot, funny, friendly, and clearly on a mission from above. When the bill arrived, it was 50€ less than we expected. I half-expected a choir to start singing “Hallelujah!” (We were treated to a rendition of flower of Scotland) I can’t rave enough about this place. The chaos, the food, the people. It’s like a culinary miracle. Pure magic."
"We visited this restaurant three times during our stay, and every visit was excellent. The carbonara and ravioli were delicious, full of authentic flavor, and the tiramisu was absolutely amazing. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and consistently high quality food. Highly recommended!!!!"
"The place has great food and service. its better to reserve a table after 20:00!! The Pasta was more on the Al-Dente side for those who like it, The beef slices a small but very well made and tasty. Even though we had to wait 15 minutes for our reservation, the owner gave us wine and bread to ease the wait and kept us updated. The pasta is very recommended."
